At the recent Israeli geek conference, GeekCon 2011, I've teamed up with Lior Ferdman, and together we built a "Beer Keyboard"; an instrument to play some tunes on beer bottles using PC keyboard.

Wordle is a cool tool. You can create a word cloud in minutes, just by giving it a URL or by pasting your favorite words into the text pad (or by your del.icio.us user name).

Free tools I use - Wayback Machine

The Internet Archive: Wayback Machine is a wonderful web tool, it allows you to go back in time, that is - the Internet time, and surf websites that are no longer with us (May their electronic souls rest in peace).

WebSequenceDiagrams
I find it hard to talk to fellow engineers without a marker in my hand and a whiteboard around me. Many of the diagrams I draw as a Software Architect are either block diagrams or sequence diagrams (aka Message Sequence Chart or MSC). When I have to transfer all these whiteboard drawings into a document, I usually use Visio or SmartDraw, but for many of the simple diagrams the overhead of these drawing tools is too big.

Dan Ariely - Predictably Irrational

I saw Dan Ariely on TED and was very impressed. He talks about how we make decisions, gives examples to external factors that matter, and generally speaking - questions "Are we in control of our own decisions?" (17:22, you can save the mp4 on your HDD and consume it offline when you're ready)

PeerGuardian 2
Always use protection. When surfing the Internet, that's doubly true. That's why I use PeerGuardian - an open source IP blocking tool that sits quietly in the system tray and works its magic.
